These boots are made for walking!
Three weeks from today we will be taking a train from London to Wales and starting our trek in Chepstow! It has been a long process getting to this point - picking a hike, making reservations for housing and vegan food along the path, teaming up with a great charity, and now getting all of the gear in place. The proper shoes are essential for any good hiking experience. We’ve made the mistake of getting the kids shoes too early in the process only to realize when we got to the destination that their feet had grown and made their shoes really uncomfortable.
So this year we held off until a few weeks before the trek. Fortunately, hiking sneakers, especially vegan ones that don’t use leather, don’t have the same break-in period as hiking boots.
We hope you will enjoy our daily updates as of Monday, June 10th. And if you feel inspired to make a tax-deductible donation to our hike’s charity, Farm Sanctuary, please do so through our site. 100% of your donation goes directly to Farm Sanctuary - we are fully self-funding the hike. Thanks for your support!
